Quality, affordable and spacious.
Once I was in the market to get a roof rack I shopped around quite a bit and found some name brand options, some of which were quite expensive but after some looking around I found the Valley roof rack. Up till now I only have known Valley for their trailers and associated equipment.
With this purchase I also got the extension, and the cargo net. These products were easy to put together, and everything was expected out of the box. The rack with extension works great for my 2002 Toyota 4Runner, it fits perfectly. I can see through the sunroof without obstruction and still open the back tailgate. I have used this on quite a few trips already and it is durable (so far) and has plenty of space. I would definitely recommend this product as I would purchase again.

Good looking dependable basket
My Valley cargo basket has held up to everything ive thrown at it. I love the looks of it, very sturdy and durable looking. It was a breeze to install and held three backpacks a case of water and two tents with room to spare. Very satisfied with it.

awesome rack !!
I just installed this on my 03 4runner and it went flawlessly. I haven't put anything on it yet but will do so next week. I have been told that it has a low profile and doesn't look bulky which is a plus. I just drove about 100 miles today and noticed no noise. The basket was empty though. Very lightweight too. Great product and inexpensive.

if would of been 5*'s but it was blemished.
overall size and function of the rack was fine, it fit my 10x10 tent, sleeping bags, 2 fold up chairs, bag with tow strap, my bag with my 20ft 5/16" chain, a medium sized bag filled with camp gear and my small BBQ fit up in my rack. the mounts themselfs fit fine but didnt snug down tight enough to get a good grip on my factory 2000 jeep cherokee rails, so what i did was i had some 1/4" thick 1" wide metal strap laying around and i cut it into 3" sections to allow for it to get a better bite which did the trick. as for wind noise i got my jeep up to 55 mph and didnt hear my rack whistle or anything. now the reason i didnt rate this rack a 5 was because after i pulled it out of the box which wasnt packaged very well ( parts out of the bags, and just a single layer of plastic wrap around 1 side of the rack but not the other) i noticed that a part on the front had a wear mark on it where something had been sliding on it during shipment. it wasnt a big deal to me simply cause it will eventually get dinged up down the road.hopefully soon i will purchase the 20" extension piece simply to have extra room so i can lay everything flat and not stack it for better aerodynamics.

Great product, great price only one issue
I actually looked into building my own basket style cargo rack but really you can hardly buy the materials for the cost of this Valley Cargo Carrier. It's light weight yet very strong, great coating on it as well.
Extremely easier to put together, litterally takes just a few minutes.
The only issue is if your cross bars aren't very far apart. I have an old Jeep with a hardtop and the roof rack mounts are pretty close together. The valley basket carrier comes with four mounts to secure it to your cross bars. The problem I had is that I could only get the front ones on, on the rear mounts I couldn't get it to line up, basically I needed my bars to be another 6 or so inches farther apart.
But, this was easily fixable, I just went to the hardware store and for about 4 bucks got a few u-bolts and secured the back of the cargo carrier on with those. And the included mounts are built very well and even have quick release bots on them.
Overall I'm very happy and would still purchase again even with that one issue.
