Car top carrier
I bought this carrier after much searching and it was the BEST deal I found and it worked wonderfully. The only thing is that it does not come with the cross bars and they were an extra 0 so if you want to get the entire package - this is not for you.

Take it slow...
Imagine my surprise when I read the small print in the instructions where it says: "Do not travel with an empty hardshell at speeds over 40 MPH..." It then goes on to say the minimum weight is 50 lbs to avoid the 40 MPH restriction.

Wow! So when I get to the campsite, I have to either remove the whole thing or put other stuff in there. I'll keep mine as I don't plan to use it much and can store it at my destination. But I didn't see any mention of this on Amazon... the buyer should know this!!!

Aside from that, it's fair to good... the build doesn't exceed the price point.

One last thing... mine says "SportRack". Looks the same and all, but I have yet to see the word "Valley".

Update: I have downgraded the rating to one star. The more I think about this, the more I think the 40 MPH issue is unacceptable. This certainly should have been disclosed on the product listing.

Very Satisfied with purchase
Very pleased with purchase. I saved a lot of money vs. Thule and Yakima and works just as well. One slight hitch was the threads on one of the brackets to attach the carrier to the car was not clean causing a slight problem. Got it fixed. Problem was nothing compared to the money saved.
